What's new... not much...

Every Momma out there is secretly grabbing for a wipe to catch that cheese before it drips off O's chin. Owen loves cheese is any form- especially Nacho cheese, which his daddy got him as a treat...Thanks Blake.
Oh by the way, he got kicked out of nursery on Sunday for being too 'aggressive' with the other kids. He is just a handful and WAY too much of a boy. I purchased parenting/discipline books this week. If anyone has found any that they really like- please let me know. I don't think Owen is a crazy completely out-of-control child, but he definitely likes to lean that way on occasion.

Preparations for Baby

In preparation for the new child, we had to move O to a big boy bed. I think that we need to make his room more boyish... Owen loves his 'truck' bed, nighttime is just fine, but naps are not! So as you will see I have continued to lock him into the crib (thanks to a mesh tent) for his naps. Am I an awful mom? It feels kind of like I am kenneling him, but part of me really doesn't care. He needs his naps and I need his naps. We are both much happier this way.

Baby Girl's Room

Here is the baby's room (8 weeks to go, maybe less if she continues to be an amazon girl). I know you all love my stellar paint job. Blake feels it may be a little too busy, but maybe it will make her so dizzy she will just fall asleep at night on her own. As you can see Owen is still being locked into the crib at nap times. We don't have everything quite ready- but almost. Shout out to Martha for all the baby clothes- I am eternally grateful for those.

Before I know it the baby will be here...it is a wild and crazy thought. Also Cathy is due in one week, Martha in August and now Sarah and Andy in October! 4 babies in one year! How fun. Christmas at the Wright house will never be the same.

Oh my goodness! So many babies for the Wright family! I'm sorry that Owen got kicked out of nursery. I don't have any advise here, but I'm almost sure I'll be needing it (advise) shortly.
The bedrooms are too cute...too much work for me!

Those rooms look so cute! You've done great with baby girl's. And I think it's great to 'kennel' kids for their naps.... Sanity comes first right? :) I'll be asking you for all the rest of your tricks soon enough...

I really do like the kids rooms-like you said they are polar opposites-like your kids are going to be right? All you see walking down my hallway is pink, purple and yellow and any other feminine color in-between. Also Tonya if you see this send me an invite also!

Sarah,
You were right about the blood. I admit, I was wrong. Anyway, so O- is the Universal Donor. O+ can be donated to anybody EXCEPT those with O- blood. Interesting. I thought it was the other way around. Well, just thought that might make your day to realize you were right and I was wrong. That is all.

I love your paint jobs. I would send a picture of my kids' rooms, but our baby sleeps in a pack'n play between our bed and the weight machine and the other kids share. Margaret has a pink flowery lamp, Cole gets to display dinosaurs in a basket on top of file boxes. Ahhh, New York living is fine. Good luck these last eight weeks!
