I have found that some of my happiest moments in life lie in the simple everyday occurrences. Yesterday we were blanketed in snow and Blake (feeling very couped up) really wanted to go out and play with Owen. So, he taped a garbage bag over his cast, we bundled Owen up and went out to enjoy the new snow. We shoveled our dive way, tried to make a snowman (Owen's attention span isn't long enough), had a snowball fight, and pulled Owen around on his inflatable sled. It is times such as these that I am infinitely happy with all the blessing that I have in my life. Just being physically and mentally capable to be active and engaged with my family is such a blessing. With the dark cloud of 'what-ifs' that seem to plague me these days, I find myself asking, "why me?", "what if in the future I can't do this?"- and I sometimes forget that regardless of all that - right now- I can do pretty much anything and I am enjoying life completely. I really need to focus on the now and enjoy my family everyday- regardless of anything else.
I want to thank Daddy-o for his generous use of his Snowman hat. When Mom and Dad came to visit, Owen could not be parted from Dad's stinky hiking/running hat. Thanks papa!
These are Owen to a T. He is my little hell-raiser and I don't think I would have it any other way.

Looks like it a lot of fun!!!
Thanks for sharing the important things you are learning from this time in your life. You are a real example to me. You always have been, but particularly now. I have always been so proud to have you as my sister. I so admire your honesty, humor, intelligence and strength. I love you and love being able to see you, Blake and Owen here since I can't be there!
Sarah - I hope things are going okay with you all! Owen is a cutie. Glad you were able to enjoy the white stuff...Blake too!
oh how I wish my kids could have a cool hat like Owen stole from dad. I can completely understand why dad loves it so much and was so hesitant to let Owen keep it!!
Sarah,
Those pictures of Owen playing in the snow are so cute! Sorry I didn't come help shovel the other day when I drove by. I felt really bad about that, but I had to get Maggie to her Dr. appt. I saw you and Owen out there in the snow and I thought it was so cute that he was helping you shovel. He's such a cute kid and Kory and I think he just has an awesome personality. :)
Okay, my blog is www.choopes.com. You can also find Kory's blog from my blogroll.
Also,
Here's that house I was telling you about in Pleasant Grove (Isn't that near Orem?). You can watch the video and if you want to go see it, you can click Home to get directions. I have a few friends who live in Orem who have gone to see it and they say it is incredible.

Sarah,
Sorry, that link didn't work. Anyway, I just went to the site and it says they won't be doing the light show tonight or tomorrow night. So, never mind. You will be home by then. But, it's still cool to watch the display. Just go here http://www.holdman.com/christmas/
and click Videos on the left side.
