High School Tag

So Fun!!
1. Did you date someone from high school? So funny. Not while in high school, which would have been social suicide for any self-respecting young man. But, after I graduated and went away to school and learned how to be a girl (with make-up, hair and all that jazz) & then I dated a boy from high-school that I had a huge crush on (during high-school) but he was always WAY TOO cool for me. Ahhhh, good times.
2. What kind of car did you drive? Um, I didn’t have a car. That would have constituted some level of awesomeness that I did not have. These legs were made for walking and that just what they did.
3. What was the most embarrassing moment of high school for you? Probably Junior Prom. UGH! I would post a picture of it- but I still am not over how horrific I looked. Shout out to Martha for doing my hair (Hideous) and to my hoochie-mama girlfriends who assured me that my dress (think circa 1985) was indeed beautiful and current! Sabotage!
4. Were you a party animal? Totally, if you consider a remaking of the Wayne’s World Bohemian Rhapsody video and taking my brother to a dance a party, then yeah, I am a party animal.
5. Were you considered a flirt? Didn’t even understand the basics, but I did wear a mean sweat pant and ponytail.
6. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? Both. I rock! Went on both band and choir tour and I was in the marching band! Sweet! Blake makes fun of me to this day.
7. Were you a nerd? Interesting question. What determines whether one is a nerd or not? Is it taking an extra 5th period so that you can fit in all your desired classes? Is it taking a ton of AP classes? Is it marching in the band and having ice thrown at you during the football half-time show? These are things that I will have to mull over while determining if I was indeed a nerd.
8. Were you on any varsity teams? Yes, the AP Calculus drill team. It was a self-appointed title, but one that I took very seriously.
9. Did you ever get suspended/expelled? Ha! Disobey authority!? It never even entered my realm of existence.
10. Can you still sing the fight song? I think that I can hum it and I could probably whip it out on my freaking amazing clarinet.
11. Who were your favorite teachers? I loved my seminary teachers and I also thoroughly enjoyed all of my English teachers. I love to read baby!
12. Where did you sit during lunch? before we could drive, we had our sweet table where we'd eat Chick-Fil-A. Afterwards, we'd cram into Roz the Golf and head to "BurritoLand"! yes, 6 of us fit in my 2door hatchback! (jeanna’s answer- dido for me)
13. School mascot? The tigers! I have the band jacket to prove it.
14. Did you go to Homecoming? With whom? I think that I actually did go to one Homecoming (miracles of miracles that someone asked me!) and it was Beau Burgi. I think that he was just trying to be nice to the nerdy girl in his ward.
15. If you could go back and do it again, would you? For the most part sure- I know that is sounds like I had a horrible high school experience. But for the majority of it I was happily oblivious.
16. What do you remember most about graduation? That my hair actually looked decent.
17. Where did you go for Senior Skip Day? Wasn’t that Seven Peaks Day? I can’t believe that I actually wore a swimsuit in front of all those high school kids. UGH!
18. Were you in any clubs? Oh you betcha! NHS (National Honors Society), French Club, Acapella Choir, the Band Geeks, and please don’t forget the AP Calculus Drill team!
19. Have you gained some weight since then? Yup. But for the most part I’ve actually liked my body better after high school.
20. Who was your prom date? Daniel Solen- so sorry Dan.
21. Reunions: been to any? Went to my 10 year last summer (yes, it has been over 10 years!!!!)
22. Looking back, what advice would you give yourself? Enjoy your youth; be nice to everyone- because there is always someone else suffering more teenage angst than you, and don’t wear sweatpants to school.

I'm a little sad that you and Cami are up and "blogging" before 8am. I am not a morning person! :) That was a funny tag.. I would love to see your pictures because I just can't picture you being not gorgeous!

Sarah, this is 100% awesome! You and I would have been great friends through school, I'm sure of it. I mean, I was also on the AP Calculus Drill Team, and, you know, in all the choirs too. I was (still am) just as geekish as you were! Power to the geeks! I'm still waiting on the swan part though. :)

Hey! The high school memories are not too bad for me. I think I can still do the fight song...... You and your friends in grey and white look like sisters! Molly is soooo cute. Her eyes are going to make men melt!

Just for the record, I liked your hair. And you probably should not have someone fix your hair who does not know how to fix their own, or who doesn't even own a brush.

This just sounds way too familiar! I also was one of the unfortunates without a car in high school. Of course, there are only so many places to go in a small town. I was also a member of the band geeks, NHS, FBLA, the nerd list goes on. Thanks for reminding me of those awful, wonderful days of high school.
